FAQs
Questions.
I've never done Pilates. Am I going to be lost?
No. Every session is one-on-one, so the pace is yours. The New Client Introduction exists specifically for this - three sessions spent learning the equipment and the foundational exercises before anything else. Most first-timers are surprised how quickly it stops feeling foreign.
What's the difference between private Pilates and a group class?
In a group class the workout is written before you walk in, and the instructor is splitting attention across a room. In a private session the workout is built around your body, your injuries, and what you did this week. You get corrected in real time, which is where most of the progress comes from.
I have an injury. Can I still do this?
Usually yes, and it's often the reason people start. Your history shapes the programming from session one. Bring any guidance from your physician or physical therapist and we'll work within it. If something is outside what's appropriate for a Pilates setting, you'll be told directly.
What do I wear and what do I bring?
Something you can move in and that lets me see your alignment - fitted is better than baggy. Grip socks are provided for your first session. Bring water. That's it.
Where is the studio?

How long is a session?
55 minutes, by appointment.
What's your cancellation policy?
Twenty-four hours' notice to reschedule or cancel without charge. Inside 24 hours the session is charged in full - the hour was held for you, and in a private studio it can't be filled at short notice. A deposit is taken when you book.
Do sessions expire?
Series do. A 6-session series expires in 6 weeks, 12 sessions in 3 months, and 24 sessions in 6 months. Monthly practice renews automatically each month.
